Chapter 25: Meetings

“How’d your first day go?” Lena asked as Jon sat on the dinner table. Janitorial and cleaning work was rough, but it’s a great thing the NTR system improved his Vigor.

“Alright. I sort of got a sense of the issues.” Jon sat as Lena served fried rice for dinner. They sat down and ate, while Jon explained what he heard over the day.

“Hmmm- I think they’re already dating. Or at least, this Ella sounds like she gave the man a chance.” Jon finished the fried rice quickly.

“Really?” Jon said, unsure of why she thought so.

“Call it a gut feeling.” Lena said.

“And you know this from just hearing how I talk about it?”

“Yup. You could just confirm, I guess. So, you’re racing against time. I think you can try to take over the company. Collect some nasty details about this Henry Pool and use it against him. This website, you could use it to win over Ella, perhaps, offer it as a service in exchange for something fun. It doesn’t have to be sex, but since you said her secret desire was restraints, you could blindfold her and play some games with her. If it’s really what she wants, she’ll get tied up in your net.”

Jon paused and looked at the housewife. “Are you really the housewife I seduced?”

Lena smirked and touched Jon’s thighs. “Let’s just say, after this injection down here, my mind has been awakened to all the possibilities.”

“Damn.” Jon laughed. “My harem will help me with my revenge. I totally like it already.”

Jon needed a plan.

“So, let’s see, we could probably stalk them, and see what they are up to.”

Lena nodded. “Do you know where she stays?”

“Not yet. I’ll try to find out on Friday. But tomorrow, let’s just hang around that area, and see what we can find?” Jon proposed. “Come with me?”

Lena giggled excitedly. “Oooh. Being spies and detective. I’m excited!”

Thursday. Post Tutorial W1 (PTW1)

Jon and Lena realized they ran into a simple problem.

“You have no suitable clothes for spying stuff!” Lena said. No one could recognise Lena, after all, no one knew she lived with Jon, and there was usually no reason to suspect anything when it’s a relatively beautiful lady that’s following them. Most people just assumed the pretty lady to be walking in the same direction.

“Well, I suppose I do need to go shopping.” Jon chuckled as they arrived at the station. “But to be fair, ugly folks like me are not noticed by people.”

Which was wrong. There was a lot of people looking at Lena and Jon, most of them wondering why someone like Lena was chatting happily with Jon. A few wanted to even interrupt their conversation, wondering whether Jon was harassing the beautiful girl. Lena just shrugged, she didn’t feel Jon was ugly. And frankly, it didn’t matter all that much. The fact that Jon wore his usual office attire meant he didn’t exactly look too far off from the other businesses in the area.

The area around Poolman Limited was a busy, busy place, filled with all sorts of other businesses. It was just the norm that businesses like to be around other businesses, and that was true for them too.

“So, I’m going to try and follow Mister Henry around. You try to follow this Ella Moren?” Jon said as they arrived. Lena smirked, and gave him a kiss on his cheek.

Those nearby stared in bewilderment, unable to believe a hottie like Lena kissed an ugly fart like Jon.

As it turned out, both of them didn’t have to be apart, as they soon found Ella and Henry having coffee in a nearby cafe. There was someone with them, and they were engrossed in a conversation.

Jon and Lena both snuck to a nearby seat, somehow both Ella and Henry didn’t remember him. Or perhaps, he was too ugly that his face wasn’t memorized at all. Jon’s attention was drawn to the conversation behind him.

The tone was frustrating.

“Look. We get that this company was yours, but matter of fact is, we’ve had losses for the last three years, and the funds we injected into your company are diminishing. At the rate you are going, the Company’s going to go under. Bankrupt.” The investor was a fierce looking man, who seemed a little tired of Henry Pool’s shit.

Henry tried to defend it. “The product launch is ready. We’ll get traction this time. Miss Ella’s working hard to get all the various customers to buy and sign in for our new products. Many have agreed. We will have a turnaround.”

“Henry, I’ve heard that pitch fifteen times. At your current cash position, the company has cash to run for no more than 6 months. After that, the Company’s dead, and we’ll call in the restructuring experts, or it’ll have to file for bankruptcy.”

Henry’s gulp was audible. He could hear it from a mile away.

“Henry, don’t fuck it up. We’ve let you fuck it up the past two years, and the investors are getting edgy. If you do, we’ll have to exercise our rights to convert our loans into equity shares. You know what that means.”

Ella was quiet throughout the entire conversation. Her job there was just to listen and take notes. Henry nodded. “Don’t worry, Mister Khan. It won’t happen on my watch.”

“See to that. Good luck, Henry. I’ve got another meeting to catch. I’ll need to see the rest of the investors to convince them to give you more time.” The man stood up and began to walk away.

“Thanks, Mister Khan.”

Jon and Lena looked at each other, and then Lena leaned over. “Why not you follow this investor. I’ll stay here and listen to the two. It’s less obvious that way?”

Jon nodded, and got up.
