Chapter 94: The Forest Affairs 2

Dream. Nightmares. In the end, these are just thoughts.

A power of magic that Edmund possessed, and Nysta was in one more. This one was shorter.

In it, she saw Aman. But unlike before, this was not a pleasant one. Instead, the dream showed her things. Aman having sex with Wynn. Wynn screaming in pleasure as Aman had vigorous sex with Wynn.

Then, it was Hannah’s turn. Hannah had sex with Aman.

Nysta’s heart pounded. “What’s happening?”

She heard the dream Hannah respond to her. “We are just doing what the goddess wants us to do. To mate with Aman. In the end, only one of us will get to be his bride, and he will choose us based on who satisfies him the best.”

“What?” Nysta may believe that the goddesses want them to mate and breed, yet, the very act of seeing the action made her tremble. Was Aman such a man? Would he really choose someone by how they are in bed?

But- is that why Hannah engaged that lookalike service? In order to practice so they could impress the hero in bed? Was she in a competition that she had no idea about?

Then, just as suddenly, Raven appeared. The female ranger looked at her, with her usual smug and arrogant attitude. “Oh Nysta, Nysta. You say you are a nun. But you gave that soldier a handjob, didn’t you? Why are you behaving like you are better than us? In the end, you also believe that this is a competition.”

The dream Raven’s clothes vanished, and then, it was her turn to mount the hero. She looked drunk in pleasure.

Nysta staggered backwards. “Goddesses, have we sinned?”

Yet, Aman looked vicious, and scary as he pounded Raven. Then, Aman looked at Nysta. “Nysta. My dearest Nysta. Is it your turn now?”

But this time, Nysta didn’t know why she hesitated. Just yesterday or the day before she had a dream where Aman touched her down there and made her ejaculate.

The sights she saw, of how Aman ravaged multiple women before it was her turn, though, was a cruel, cruel reminder that she is just one of the many women that the hero will have.

“Nysta?” Aman repeated, and somehow, the usually meek and kind Aman displayed a scary, frightening expression. As if he was a beast and she was his prey. He stepped closer.

Nysta stepped back.

Then she woke up.

“Fuh. Fuh.” Nysta panted, her heart pounded. That was a nightmare, wasn’t it?

Ethan then walked in. It was alright getting quite late, and Edmund had returned to the city to play with Kiara and Sofia. “You alright? You’re drenched in sweat.”

“Ah. I- I’m-” Nysta didn’t know where to start. “I had a bad dream.”

“I see.” Ethan nodded and sat next to her. “You want to talk about it?”

Nysta looked at the man who held her so closely, and suddenly felt as if she could trust him. “I- I dreamed about Aman. And the other girls.”

“Oh. What happened?”

“They did it. He did it with all of them.” Nysta said. “And then he wanted to do it with me.”

Ethan blinked. “I see. Well, I- I can see why you have that dream. The heroines are all chasing after Aman’s affections, and if Aman wanted the girls, he could have done that, isn’t it?”

She gulped. She thought she could win. She thought she liked Aman, and Aman liked her too. Yet, as the presence of the demonic curse within her also weakened the goddesses’ influence, her mind was now troubled.

“But you are here to save the world, isn’t it? Was that why you joined?” Ethan wanted to redirect her focus elsewhere. Somewhere that would bring her closer to him, instead of Aman.

“Yes.”

“That’s very noble of you. I didn’t know the other girls joined really to seduce the hero.” Ethan said.

“I- I am not sure why they joined, but I think Kiara, Wynn, Raven, Sofia and Bianca all came to seduce the hero.”

“Really? So the temples were right to be suspicious and send me here.” Ethan feigned ignorance. “Did Aman do anything yet?”

“No.” Nysta said, but then she quickly clarified. “At least, I don’t think he did anything yet.”

“Ah. Do you want to join that game?” Ethan said, and somehow, Nysta looked into Ethan’s eyes as if looking for an answer.

“I- I don’t know.”

“You have a crush on the hero?” Ethan sighed.

“I do.” Nysta said. But somehow, that nightmare made her pause. “Or, maybe I did.”

Ethan nodded. He would have to work to shatter the nun’s impression of the hero, but he could already see how to do so. Even if she knew it was a nightmare, nightmares have an inkling of truth that still left a mark on her heart. With enough nightmares she will disassociate her affections with the hero. Ethan sighed, and tried to manipulate her sense of duty to the temples. “That’s a shame, and I hoped that you would be different from the others.”

Nysta paused and looked at Ethan. Is she really the same as the other heroines? Is she really here to just be another woman in Aman’s harem? So, she asked the question that. “Do you, do you think the goddesses really make us part of the hero party to be mating toys of the hero?”

“Quite likely.” Ethan said, unsure whether this will turn Nysta towards the hero or against it.

“I had that idea too.” She sighed. “That’s why we keep having beautiful ladies joining the party. But- but- I suddenly don’t like that idea very much.”

“I thought you did.” Ethan said. “But can you imagine sharing a family with all the other girls in the party.”

Now that, made Nysta churn. The nun then imagined Wynn or Hannah or Raven as her fellow wives in the harem, and how she would likely be bullied by them. “-I think they will bully me.”

Ethan nodded. “You’re too nice and easygoing, Nysta.”

“Am I?”

“Yeah. But I think lady Raven was right. You won’t win by being nice. Aman’s too passive.”

Yet, the idea of being aggressive in pursuing the hero was against everything Nysta wanted. The generally innocent and quite traditionally educated nun always imagined the hero sweeping her off her feet. In her version of events, it would be the hero that saw her merits and asked her to be his.

Not the other way around. Should she even chase after the hero? Could she put the hero’s hand on her breasts like Wynn the dragon mage?

Suddenly, all these thoughts made her feel weak and vulnerable, and so, Ethan then wrapped his hand around her shoulder, in a moment of manliness and charm. “Hey, don’t be so sad.”

Edmund concluded that if he had to use one clone to win over one lady each, that was still worth it. One less member of the party was still a net win. Each battle will take longer, each rest period far more than before.

So, Ethan went on the assault, showing the nun affection and care. His hand slung over her shoulder and pulled her closer, like a half-hug. “I’m here. Rest.”

Nysta’s heart skipped a beat.
