Chapter 140
This castle is disgustingly big.
“How much longer, Jack?” Rayla asked, a little tired after walking for so long. Martha and Sandra had no problem walking that long, but I guess that was attributed to their stamina as aura users.
“You need to train your stamina, Mother,” Lucas said in an admonishing tone.
“Or we could just help her,” I said and moved behind Rayla, grabbing her left ass cheek after raising her skirt to transfer mana to her. Direct skin contact was needed for mana transfer, after all.
“Ooh~ That feels better. Thanks, Jack.” Rayla thanked and continued to walk.
“The pleasure is all mine, Mother,” I replied with a smile and a squeeze of her soft and squishy ass. Rayla was indeed the best, no matter who her opponent was.
We arrived at Zara’s wing in the castle after about ten more minutes of walking.
“Did you really have to keep your hand on her buttock? That made us even slower.” Lucas complained.
“Mother’s well-being is more important,” I spoke like a dutiful son. No one could argue against that fact.
“Let us go in.” We arrived outside Zara’s room.
There were guards standing there, proper distinguished uniforms that distinguished them, soldiers or knights. It wasn’t like back at the Hector estate, where the guards and soldiers were one entity and had the same uniform.
“Lady Zara is expecting us,” I informed the guard, and he nodded, knocking on the door and remaining in his position.
The door opened soon afterwards, and Cassandra stood there with one of her hands on her sword on her waist and the other on the door.
“Let them in,” Cassandra said while coming out. We were about to go in when she interjected, “Not you, Lucas. You’re coming with me.”
“Understood, young lady.” Lucas respectfully bowed and left.
“Hmph! He only shows her respect.” Martha complained cutely.
“Don’t be disrespectful, Martha. It is our duty to respect the lords.” Rayla admonished Martha.
“Hard to do that when she was wailing under Jack,” Martha mumbled.
“What?” Rayla asked.
“Nothing,” Martha said and followed me in. Zara was on the desk on the left side of the room, looking at some books.
“You’re here.” Zara glanced at us and then at my mother, her gaze remaining there for a while before it turned back to me, “You can return in the evening.”
“Understood, Lady Zara.” I properly bowed and respectfully replied.
“…Right.” Zara was dazed for a second before she replied. I had a feeling there was something she wanted to say, but maybe she was confused.
I’d let her come to terms with it on her own. After last night’s events, she needs time.
I then turned to my family and said, “I’ll come to pick you up in the evening. We’ll go back to the servant’s quarters together.”
“Alright, Jack.” Sandra smiled and replied while the rest nodded.
“There would be no need.” But before I could take even one more step, Zara chimed in.
“Pardon, My Lady?” Rayla asked.
“Your accommodations would be set here in this wing. Just return in the evening from your duties, and inform the supervisors there that you won’t be going there starting tomorrow.” Zara explained to Rayla first and then turned to me for the second half.
“Understood, Lady Zara,” I replied and left with a bow.
I guess last night’s events had done a great number on her. She was amazingly tame. Not something one would expect from a noble.
Her corruption was still at 24%, so that didn’t mean she was under my spell. She was simply complying for some other reason. Maybe the sex last night turned her submissive or something. I mean, she did thank me at the end.
Anyway, let’s just try to get through this day quickly. Would think about the rest later.
~~
“He’s the one who hit me!”
Yeah, it was a mistake thinking I could get through this day peacefully.
“How dare this commoner! Behead him!”
Well, life is like that.
“No, beheading him would be mercy. Burn him alive!”
Mysterious, not knowing what would happen next. One could say that was the charm of it.
“Torture him first! How dare he touch this lord!”
That’s why one could say I hate life.
I love sex. I love pussy. I love ass. I love milfs. I love free use.
Life sucks.
“So? What happened?” Carlson looked at me and asked. Next to me stood a boy around my age in a blue and white mage outfit, his anger seething out of him so much that he could burn the entire castle with it.
“His lordship got a little too enthusiastic and called me to be his sparring partner. I did nothing but dodge, but that made him angry. He told me to fight back, and I did.” I gave an overview of the earlier event to Carlson.
I had no idea why this incident had gotten to Carlson. Given the circumstances, I would have been beheaded right on the spot. But why was I here?
“He’s lying, grandfather. He attacked me!”
What the boy next to me, whose robe had burnt patches and a swollen eye, called Carlson surprised me a little, but what surprised me even more was why I was still alive.
“So he says,” Carlson said calmly, looking at me.
“I only used a second circle spell. There are witnesses.” I replied.
“Ha! Like anyone would lie for you, you filthy commoner!” The boy ecstatically said out loud.
“You can check the mana signatures in the place we were earlier. You will find his lordship’s mana of the fourth circle and mine of the second circle. As I am only a second circle mage.” I calmly explained.
“…” The boy had no reply, so “He’s lying, grandfather.”
I kept my eyes on Carlson, and just as the boy said that, disappointment flashed across his eyes. Just for a moment, but it was enough for me to catch.
“You are excused, Simon,” Carlson said in a low tone. But that low tone was hella intimidating.
“… But grandfather…” The boy began to protest in a mosquito-like voice, but Carlson kept his face as expressionless as before, and that scared the boy more.
He turned and left without another word, leaving me and Carlson alone in the room.
“…”
“…”
There was silence for quite a while before I finally asked when I realized that Carlson wasn’t going to break the silence, “How would I be punished, my lord?”
“Why would you be? Did you not do what Simon asked you to?” Carlson asked with the same expressionless face.
“It was my fault to give in,” I replied.
“If he can’t even dodge a basic second circle spell, then that speaks all about the boy who is to one day inherit the Carlson name,” Carlson replied before he stood up and made his way to his desk.
“…”
“…”
“Go ahead, ask what you want to.” Carlson sat behind his desk and finally gave me permission to speak.
“Why am I here, my lord?” I asked.
“When I visited Zara in her town, I felt a major change in her. She’s approaching the fifth circle. Very quickly at that. And not just that, even Cassandra had begun to fill up her fourth star aura core. I have a hunch you have something to do with it. But I didn’t sense any changes in my grandsons, so I assume this ability of yours only works on women?” Carlson got straight to the point and asked just the right question.
“Yes. Women’s vagina is needed as conducted by my research.” I replied.
“So you properly experimented,” Carlson remarked.
“Yes. With my father.” I kind of wanted to puke at the thought, but since Julian was already dead, there was no problem in using his name.
“I see,” Carlson replied, and then there was silence once again.
Stifling, stifling silence again.
I could tell what he was thinking. He was calculating. The time needed for a mage to naturally become a five-circle mage, and the time Zara had taken after my encounters with her. In mere months, she had gone from fourth circle to fifth circle, and there weren’t even any signs of witchcraft or shortcut methods that would make a mana circle or an aura core unstable.
Zara’s mana circles and Cassandra’s aura core were extremely stable. Even more stable than before. The purity of my mana was affecting them, and that was a point Carlson took note of too.
“Haa…” Finally, Carlson sighed and looked at me.
“From the side of the castle where Zara is staying, all men would be removed. Zara, Cassandra, and two more women would be joining you there. Maids would also be placed there, but they would be put under an oath not to reveal anything about you.”
Wait a minute. Was he getting where I think he was getting?
“Can I count on you to increase their powers just like you’re raising Zara’s and Cassandra’s?”
“…”
I love life.
