“Emilia, do something about her.”
“What do you want me to do, mistress?”
“Get rid of her.”
“That would be difficult, mistress.”
“You two are speaking as if I wasn’t here.”
“Shut up, Freya. Why are you here? I told you to stop following me.”
“I don’t listen to you. So, I am going to do what I want.”
“This is the principal’s office, Freya. You cannot just enter here without reason.”
“Don’t worry, principal. I have a reason. My reason is because Athena is here.”
Hearing my name from her lips ignites a fire deep inside.
“I did not give you permission to use my name.”
“Don’t worry about it, Athena.”
Again. An anger burns within me as I hear her say my name from her lips.
“I said, do not use my name.”
“Freya. If you are going to listen to anything, at least listen to that.”
“Huh? Why are you also getting antsy principal? It’s just a name.”
“It is not just a name. It is my name and you do not have permission to use it.”
“You’re overreacting. Chill out, Athena.”
Again. She uses it again. I stand up in blind fury and I walk towards her. A look of surprise appears on her face and she steps back as I stand in front of her.
“Use my name one more time and I will make sure that you regret it.”
“Huh? Did you already forget? You can always use force if you want.”
I move forward as Freya steps back. The wall is behind her as I press myself in front of her staring directly to her eyes.
“I know that you are stronger than me but have you ever thought about this, Freya?”
I move even closer. Squeezing her between the wall and I.
“If you and I get in an altercation, who do you think the prince would side with?”
I smile at her as I move my face closer.
“You, with all of your self-righteous way of thinking? Or me, his fiancée?”
Freya raises both of her hands.
“Alright, alright. I’ll stop.”
I step back and do not break eye contact.
“There are certain lines you cannot cross. If you wish to continue using my name, do not forget to add miss in front or else.”
“Whatever you say, miss Athena.”
I turn my back and return to my seat. Only three people use my name directly. Father, mother, and the prince. The prince gets a pass for his position while the other two only provide bad memories.
“Learn your lesson already, Freya. Stop bothering mistress.”
“But she’s so interesting.”
Freya walks towards me and stops behind me. She leans over as I refuse to look towards her.
“I did quite like the fire in your eyes. You should show that more often. Besides, I do like threading lines. So, I may just test that line out in the future.”
“And you are already being annoying again.”
“We’re already past that. Let it go and move on.”
“Emilia, get rid of her.”
“Do not worry, mistress. I have already found a solution.”
Right on time, someone knocks on the door. I look and it opens and prince walks inside.
“I will take it from here.”
“Oh? What are you doing here, prince?”
“Stop bothering Athena and get out of here already.”
“I already told you. You will need to use force.”
“I know.”
The prince grabs the back of her collar and pulls on her like she is a cat.
“Woah. When did you get this strong?”
He pulls and she stumbles back. The prince continues pulling and her feet are now dragging on the floor.
“I am sorry about her.”
“Hey, stop pulling me!”
“This is what you wanted right? I am using force on you.”
“I was speaking like a fight, you know!? Not being pulled away like an animal!”
“Shut up already.”
The prince closes the door as he pulls Freya away.
“Good work, Emilia. On to business, why did you ask for me?”
“Mistress, I will be unavailable for the next week or two.”
“What happened?”
“A few days ago, we received news of multiple attacks on various settlements. The king has requested for me to be one of the representatives on a meeting of leaders.”
“Where did these attacks happen?”
“Multiple places. Numerous countries have been attacked. Ours was not one of them. Now, there are doubts that it may be our forces doing it so a meeting between leaders has been called for.”
“Do you know who will be attending?”
“There have been no confirmations as of this time. I doubt that all will be attending. This meeting was not deemed as an emergency. So, most would be using proxies as substitutes.”
“I see. Who will be sent with you?”
“A few other nobles. The most significant one would be the prime minister.”
Oh? I do not remember this meeting being called before. Is this an effect from my actions? Though it may not solely be due to me. It says multiple places were attacked. Given father’s choice to use me. He must be getting more desperate.
“Then, make sure to keep a close eye on the prime minister.”
“What would you like me to do, mistress?”
“Nothing direct. Just keep a watch and inform me of everything he does.”
“Understood, mistress.”
“What will happen while you are gone?”
“I have called for assistance but it will take a while for them to arrive here. This is a sudden summon from the king which is why I have informed you, mistress.”
“Who else knows?”
“The prince and Freya.”
“Out of the entire school, only the three of us know that you will not be available?”
“Yes. I would like to ask for your assistance in keeping the school safe.”
“While I do not have a personal investment on this, consider this your reward for your work so far.”
“Thank you for your assistance, mistress.”
“Though this does not excuse your manipulation of me in regards of head maid.”

“Since your actions did give me more power over head maid, I can lessen your sentence. But there will till be punishment. It can wait until you return.”

“Good. It is for the best for me to leave now before a certain someone returns. Take care on your journey.”
